Pets for Adoption

We are a small organization and rescue/adoption is only one part of what we do. We may not have the kind of dog/cat you are looking for  however,  we do have many connections within the PA rescue community.  We will be glad to help you find the kind of dog that is compatible with your family and lifestyle. For a listing of the cats and dogs we currently have available for adoption, please visit our Petfinder site by CLICKING HERE.

Pets In Long Term Foster Care

We have several pets that are currently in long term foster care.  They are older, were abandoned and in need of medical care.  No one has come forward with an interest in adopting these dogs but they are living happy, comfortable lives with their foster families.

We are gratefully accepting donations toward Jack and Marshall's veterinary bills and those of other PAWS dogs in need of medical care.  ANY amount is appreciated!  You can donate by using Paypal (below) or sending a check made payable to:

PAWS
P.O. Box 787,
Stroudsburg, PA  18360.

If you would like to send a check directly to our house veterinarian, please call  570-350-8798.

THANK YOU!

Our Featured "Pet in Need"
Marshall

Marshall, the 2nd of our "Pets in Need", was a stray Pittie that lived for four days under a trailer in the coldest week in January of 2011. He was scared, hungry and frostbitten and it took several lbs. of meat to get him to come out from under his trailer. Once he was in his temporary foster home, it became apparent that Marshall is a dreamboat of a Pittie. Sweet as can be, housebroken, and good with kids and other dogs. The vet determined that Marshall needed knee surgery, which he received along with his neuter on February 2, 2011.

Update 2/5/11...Poor Marshall can't catch a break...He was on his way to his new foster home today and all was well until his new foster brother, a big Rottie Boy, made it known he wanted no part of Marshall, or else. None of this was Marshall's fault, and even though the Rottie tore Marshall's ear a bit, Marshall never fought back. These things just happen sometimes. The Rottie is normally a very good Boy, I guess he just decided he wanted to be the only male dog in his home. So, our Boy will need to find another foster home in or around the Stroudsburg, PA region. Until then, he will recover at the vet's office, at $17 per day.
The good news is that Marshall's surgery seems to be healing well, and he is still a sweet, happy and forgiving guy. Still loves other dogs, too.

Please donate using the paypal button above to help with Marshall's medical bills.
